PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a worker who is conducting inspection to evacuate to the ground safely when emergency accident like power failure occurs. SOLUTION: This stacker crane includes a pair of front and rear masts vertically mounted on a carriage, and a work carrying-in/-out carriage liftably disposed between the masts. A ladder 10 is mounted on one mast 4, an inspection deck 11 capable of elevating along the ladder 10 is fitted, and an entrance 16 having an opening/closing lid 15 is opened at the floor part 11B of the inspection deck 11.
