摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved automatic satellite orbit correcting system and its method for keeping a satellite on a desired orbit. SOLUTION: An orbit correction is automated to minimize the intervention of human in this improved automatic satellite orbit correcting system and its method. The system includes a device determining orbit errors (ranging data) and a device determining the frequency and positions on the orbit of thrustor jets to correct the orbit. These devices are installed at a ground station. The ranging data serving as the index of the distance of the satellite 11 are generated by the system and the method. The ranging data are processed to estimate the orbit of the satellite. The estimated orbit is used for calculating thrustor jet plans for continued N days. The thrustor jet plans are up-loaded to the satellite. A plurality of steps are periodically repeated.
