ILLUMINATION DETECTING MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination detecting module which can suppress the sensitivity drop of a light receiving element in an area where the incident angle of light becomes higher. SOLUTION: This illumination detecting module I comprises a container 1, a semiconductor photoreceptor 11, and a light diffusing plate 21. The container 1 is made of a black bottomed polycarbonate member having an opening 2 on its top and has a bottom section 3 and a wall section 4. The light receiving element 11 is mounted on a printed board 12 and arranged in the internal space of the container 1 demarcated by the container 1 (bottom section 3 and wall section 4) and light diffusing plate 21. The plate 21 is fixed to the upper end section of the wall section 4 (container 1) with fixing screws 25 in such a way that the light emitting surface 23 of the plate 21 is in contact with the upper end section of the wall section 4 (container 1) and the plate 21 covers the end section of the container 1 including the opening 2.
