The method and appliance (11) for sticking together moving webs of fibrous material such as paper incorporates a bonding appliance (2) for applying adhesive onto the flat side of a first web (13). A guide (3) guides the webs so that a second web (14) with its flat side comes to rest on the adhesive-covered flat side of the first web. A perforating appliance (5) in the form of a roller (50) with piercing elements on its outer casing makes holes in the adhesive-free second web to allow fluid components of the adhesive join to escape.
