PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detachably lay an optical fiber cable and the like in a pipe at the same of regeneration in regenerating the existing buried pipe by telescopic connection of tapered tubes. SOLUTION: In this regeneration method for the buried pipe inserting a multiple tapered pipes 10 of a prescribed length narrower than the buried pipe in the underground buried pipe 1 into a row, connecting them telescopically, and forming a new pipeline, latches 11 are fixed to the inside face upper parts of all the tapered pipes 10 or appropriate intervals of the tapered pipes 10 to be laid in the buried pipe beforehand, and when the tapered pipes 10 with the latches 11 are inserted in the buried pipe 1, a lead rope 16 is inserted into the latch 11 so as to lead the optical fiber cable and the like in the latch 11 by the lead rope 16 after completing the laying of the tapered pipe 10.
