PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball valve replacing a seal ring existing between a spindle and a neck part without detaching the ball valve from a pipeline. SOLUTION: This ball valve is so formed that a ball 2 opening/closing a channel is arranged in a valve body 1, the ball and the bottom end of the spindle 3 are watertightly connected in a space toward the neck part 10 of the valve body via the seal ring, and the channel is opened/closed by turning the top part of the spindle 3 projecting upward from the neck part 10. A spacer member 9 having a first O ring 92 mounted on its inner circumferential face is detachably fitted in an annular clearance formed by the outer circumferential face of the spindle and the inner circumferential face of the neck part of the valve body, a second O ring 312 is mounted on a lock part 31 of the spindle 3 opposed to the inner circumferential face of the valve body 1 near the neck part, and the a clearance is formed between the second O ring 312 and the inner circumferential face of the valve body near the neck.
