PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproofing safety cutoff valve for gas automatically cutting off a gas passage and preventing the outflow of the fuel gas to the downstream side of a valve, when the circumference of the solenoid valve becomes an extremely high temperature due to a fire, etc. SOLUTION: This fireproofing safety cutoff valve for gas is provided with a valve seat formed with a valve hole 13a for communicating an input port 15 and an output port, in the center, a valve element 11 abutting on or separating from the valve seat, an energizing spring 17 energizing the valve element 11 in a direction abutting on the valve seat, and a solenoid coil 19 attracting the valve element 11 in the direction separating from the valve seat; and stops the feed of the fuel gas by abutting the valve element 11 to the valve seat by the energizing spring 17 in a fire. The valve seat is separately attached to the valve body 14 as a valve seat unit 13 formed with a valve seat plane part 13b on its upper face, the valve seat unit 13 is constituted of a metal having an approximately same average linear expansion coefficient as that of the valve body 14, the valve element 11 is provided with an elastic ring 12 abutting on the valve seat plane part 13b and a valve element plane part 11a for holding the elastic ring 12, and, when the elastic ring 12 is destroyed by fire, the valve element plane part 11a abuts on the valve seat plane part 13b so as to cut off the fuel gas.
