PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization structure for a water section, which exert sterilization effect on goods placed in an area surrounding the water section facilities such as a kitchen sink, to thereby keep the goods in a hygienic state. SOLUTION: A sterilization lamp formed of LEDs 10 is installed on a side peripheral wall 1a of a recess 1 formed in a section surrounding the kitchen sink S. The LEDs 10 may be installed at suitable intervals or in a row without gaps. The LEDs 10 emit light with sterilization effect, and therefore growth of miscellaneous germs in the recess 1 and on a surface of a detergent container 2 can be suppressed. A section in the vicinity of the kitchen sink S is notched, and a translucent plate 8 is water-tightly attached to the notched surface. Then, the LEDs 10 functioning as the sterilization lamp are arranged on a lower surface of the translucent plate. If a draining stand 6 on which a sponge etc., are placed is set on the translucent board 8, the draining stand 6 and the sponge are sterilized with sterilization light emitted from the LEDs 10. The LEDs 10 may be activated all the time or only in a predetermined time zone by means of a timer or the like.
