PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryogenic refrigerator capable of preventing a disorder of an external magnetic field without using an expensive superconductor. SOLUTION: A displacer is inserted into a cylinder, and an expansion chamber is formed at one end of the cylinder. A gas channel for communicating with the chamber is provided in the displacer. A magnetic cool storage material is filled in the gas channel in the displacer. A gas supply system periodically supplies a refrigerant gas into the chamber via the gas channel in the displacer and recovers the gas from the chamber. A conductive member is formed of a conductive material having higher electrical conductivity than that of a material of the cylinder, and can supply a current for circulating through the cylinder.
