PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for a vehicle, capable of displaying appropriate information according to the traveling state of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The speed of the vehicle is detected, and the size of an area extended along a moving route is changed according to the vehicle speed. Map information corresponding to the extended area is extracted from map information stored in a map information storage means, and then displayed on a display means, together with the present position of the vehicle. |
