PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box type lens unit where a movable lens frame smoothly slides and internal reflection in an optical system is restrained. SOLUTION: This lens unit is equipped with a box body having an aperture part in one direction, a 1st guiding shaft which is provided inside the box body and extended in parallel with an optical axis and whose both ends are positioned and fixed in the box body, a 2nd guiding shaft which is provided inside the box body and extended in parallel with the optical axis and whose one end is positioned and fixed in the box body, a 1st guiding shaft holding member which fixes one end of the 1st guiding shaft in the box body, a 2nd guiding shaft holding member which fixes the other end of the 1st guiding shaft and one end of the 2nd guiding shaft in the box body, a 1st movable lens frame where a bush part for sliding the 1st guiding shaft is formed and which has a movable lens, and a fixed lens frame which positions and fixes the other end of the 2nd guiding shaft, has a fixed lens and is fixed in the box body.
