PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera capable of preventing a lens device from falling down from a camera main body by fitting a ring freely slidably onto the outer peripheral surface of the lens device of a monitoring camera, attaching one end of a string member to the ring, and coupling the other end of the string member with the camera main body or a supporting member for supporting the camera main body on a ceiling or the like. SOLUTION: In this monitoring camera 10, a free ring 60 is fitted freely slidably onto the outer peripheral surface of the lens device 18. The ring 60 is fitted freely slidably to the lens device 18 without falling off from the device 18. One end 64A of a wire 64 connected to the ring 60, and another end 64B of the wire 64 is connected to the supporting member 14. Thus, even when the device 18 slips down from an operator's hand, the device 18 does not fall down and is suspended and suported from the member 14 by the wire 64 since the device 18 is connected to the member 14 through the ring 60 and the wire 64.
