PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carport having a good appearance, which is capable of definitely supporting the weight of roof, snow load and upwash load by wind pressure. SOLUTION: A girder beam 2 with a cross section shape having a downward recessed portion 33 and a roof 3 are supported by a plurality of columns 1 made of steel members, an upper lateral portion 30, one side longitudinal portion 31 and other side longitudinal portion 32, the recessed portion 33 of the girder beam 2 is fitted to the upper end portion of a plurality of the columns 1; the column 1, the one side longitudinal portion 31, and the other side longitudinal portion 32 are respectively coupled by bolts 39, and the girder beam 2 is attached to the columns 1, and one end portion of the roof 3 is installed to the top surface of this girder beam 2 in this carport. In this way, the weight of roof and snow load are supported by a contacted portion between the column 1 and the one side longitudinal portion 31, and the upwash load is supported by the contacted portion between the column 1 and the other side longitudinal portion 32 and thus each load can be definitely supported. In addition, only a girder beam 2 is installed to the upper end portion of the column 1 and thus only the girder beam 2 can be seen thereby giving a good appearance.
