PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing metal fitting for a building structure applicable to various building structures including a multistoried wooden building, and a reinforcing method to the building structure using the reinforcing metal fitting. SOLUTION: In this reinforcing metal fitting for a building structure comprising a first connection installation member which can be installed to a desired part of the building structure, at least one tension adjusting member connected to a part of the first connection installation member to be capable of oscillation, and provided with a mechanism capable of adjusting tension, a second connection installation member which can be installed to a desired part of the building structure, and a linear tension member of a desired length for connecting a part of the second connection installation member to the tension adjusting member, the first and/or the second connection installation members are formed as a horizontally balanced installation member capable of applying tension between shafts supported by a pair of metal bodies provided to stand in parallel to the building structure, a coupling part of the linear tension member of a desired length for connecting the part of the second connection installation member to the tension adjusting member comprises a bifurcated eyebolt, and an installation member to the groundsill side is composed of a groundsill installation metal fitting.
