A method and system for locating mobile stations within a mobile communication network including at least two mobile stations and at least three base stations. Signal measurements are performed at the mobile stations and/or the base stations. Two or more mobile stations are located simultaneously by minimizing a cost-function, which is achieved by means of a sufficient number of equations, wherein the equations comprises the location of the mobile stations as a function of the location of one of the base stations in the network and the performed signal measurements. <IMAGE>
