<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method enabling sufficient performance to be obtained under comparatively mild heat treatment conditions even when heat treatment after processing cannot sufficiently be performed under a restriction due to the kind of fibrous material, processing condition or equipment, and to provide a method for processing fibrous materials which reduces such problem of residual formalin which occurs when processing is carried out by being compounded with a melamine-based resin, a glyoxal-based resin or the like easy to be settled, and which enables a fibrous material imparted with functions excellent in durability to be obtained. SOLUTION: This method for processing fibrous materials comprises the treatment of fibrous materials by using an aqueous composition comprising a polymer having 2-oxazoline group. The aqueous composition is allowed to be a processing composition for pigment printing, a water- and oil-repellence processing composition or a resin finishing composition for hard finish.</p> |
