PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear device which can absorb the shock between the input and the output, and withstand any large load. SOLUTION: This planetary gear device comprises a sun gear, internal gears disposed around the sun gear, a carrier rotatably provided coaxially with the sun gear, a support shaft 41b extended from the carrier 29 and disposed between the sun gear and the internal gear, and a planetary gear 30 rotatably supported by the support shaft 41b and engaged with the sun gear and the internal gear. The carrier 29 comprises a carrier body 41 provided with the support shaft 41b and integrally rotated with the support shaft 41b, an output portion 43 engageable with the carrier body 41 in the rotational direction thereof, and elastic members 42b, 42c provided between the carrier body 41 and the output portion 43. For the load within a predetermined range, the carrier body 41 and the output portion 43 transmit the power via the elastic members 42b, 42c, and for the load exceeding the predetermined range, the carrier body 41 is directly engaged with the output portion 43 to transmit the power.
