PURPOSE: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which prevents the lowering of image quality and gives a good image by lowering residual potential after electrification and exposure. CONSTITUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a photosensitive layer on an electrically conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer contains a compound of formula I (where R1 and R2 may be the same or different and are each an aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent or the like).
