PURPOSE: A system and method for the synchronous surfing between remote Internet users are provided to enable remote users to get or exchange the information each other while remote users synchronously connects to the same web site in turn. CONSTITUTION: Each user computer(120,130,140) runs each URL program(122,132). Each user computer notifies the own IP information to a server(110) of managing user IP. The server(110) stores the IP information of each user computer, connected to the Internet, to a user IP DB(114). When the user1 computer(120) wants the synchronous surfing of the Internet with the user2 computer(130), the user1 computer brings the IP information of the user2 computer from the server by running the own URL program(122). The URL program of the user1 computer catches the connection URL information of a web browser, connects to the user2 computer, and transfers the caught URL information to the user2 computer. The user2 computer asks if a user2 performs the synchronous surfing of the Internet. If the user2 rejects the synchronous surfing, the synchronous surfing exits. Otherwise, the URL received by the URL program(132) of the user2 computer is sent to the web browser(134) of the user2 computer. The user2 computer connects to the URL and displays the contents on the own web browser(134).
