<p>Complexes of chloramphenicol palmitate and calcium pantothenate in the molar ratio of 1:1 or 4:1 are prepared by heating mixtures of the two components in the said proportions to 100-200 DEG C. in an inert atmosphere. The 4:1 complex undergoes a change of crystal structure when suspended in water.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions contain a mixture of calcium pantothenate and chloramphenicol palmitate (e.g. in tablet form), or a molecular complex of these two compounds in a molar ratio of 1:1 or 1:4 (e.g. in the form of a syrup).</p> |
