<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a plurality of top plates of upward turning type in a personal computer housing desk, which is simple in structure and low in cost, which prevent the personal computer housed under the top plates from being stolen, and which can simultaneously lock or unlock the top plates in one operation. SOLUTION: An engaging hole 8a is formed at a lower surface of a front end of each top plate 6 while an opening 13 at an upper surface of a front end of each of bottom plates 3, 12. Below each opening 13 in the front end of each of the bottom plates 3, 12, a latch 21 having a hook 21a at its tip is pivotably mounted protrusively upward from the opening 21 so that it can turn between a locking position to engage with the engaging hole 8a of the top plate 6 and an unlocking position retreated downward of the opening 13. An operating plate 17 disposed at a front part of each of the bottom plates 3, 12 so as to face leftward/rightward and moves leftward/ rightward through key operation of a cylinder lock 15 provided at a front surface of each of the bottom plates 3, 12 is interlocked with each latch 21. All the latches 21 are adapted to turn between the locking and unlocking positions synchronously through the operation plate 17 according to key operation of the cylinder lock 15.</p> |
