PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston type compressor eliminating a driving shaft energizing spring and capable of easily assembling a structure for regulating a slide movement of a driving shaft. SOLUTION: In a housing hole 12a penetratingly formed in a cylinder block 12, an abutting member 60 is pressed in and fixed to a rear end part of the driving shaft 16. The driving shaft 16 regulates the slide movement of the driving shaft 16 in the direction for approaching a valve-port forming body 14 by abutment of the valve-port forming body 14 and the abutting member 60 for blocking up the opposite side of the inserting side of the driving shaft 16 of the housing hole 12a. This piston type compressor is set so as to form prescribed clearance between a second movement regulating part 14e of the valve- port forming body 14 and the abutting member 60 in a state of regulating the slide movement in the direction for going away from the valve-port forming body 14 of the driving shaft 16 in abutment by a first movement regulating part 11a.
