PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a production accelerator of profilaggrin and/or filaggrin protein for an epidermal cell, stable in a preparation. SOLUTION: This production accelerator of the profilaggrin and/or filaggrin protein contains an extract of a plant belonging to the genus Citrus, or an yeast extract as an active ingredient. The reduction of the synthetic activity of the filaggrin protein causes the decrease of an amino acid amount because the amino acid in the horny layer is produced by degrading the filaggrin protein of a precursor in the horny layer. The filaggrin protein is formed by the degradation of the profilaggrin protein which is a precursor of the filaggrin protein synthesized by the epidermal cell present in a granular layer just under the horny layer. As a result, the amount of the amino acids in the horny layer is increased by accelerating the synthesis of the profilaggrin and/or filaggrin protein to enable the water condition of the horny layer to be intrinsically improved. |
