PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an elevator shaft suitable for reducing the term of works related to work in a site for elevator construction works and arranging in parallel with a multi-storied building. SOLUTION: This elevator shaft 20 of an elevator 10 arranged in parallel with the multi-storied building 12 is formed by fitting a membrane member 36b forming the outer surface of the elevator 10 to a frame 22 forming an elevating space 20a for a cage 14 inside. The elevator shaft 20 is manufactured with the frame 22 laid on a support table 18. The membrane member 36d is fitted from the elevating space 20a side, and disposed inside from an outer edge part 24d of the frame 22.
