PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a temporary bearing 10 capable of easily performing a removal operation even if a distance between a main beam 1 and a piers 2 is short and low in cost enough to contribute to a reduction in construction cost in a bridge installation work. SOLUTION: A temporary bearing 10 comprising a bottom plate 11, side plates 12, a drop cover 13, and sand 14 is installed on piers 2 in a first step, after the main beam 1 and the piers 2 put on the bearing are fixed temporarily by stretching a PC steel material 5, a spacer 4 is installed between the main beam 1 and the drop cover 13 in a second step, the stretching of the PC steel material 5 is relieved and water jet 6 is injected through a through-hole 12a to scrape out the sand 14 in a third step, the side plates 12 are removed in a fourth step, the water jet 6 is injected to removed the sand 14 and the drop cover 13 and the spacer 4 are gradually lowered in a fifth step, and the bottom plate 11, the drop cover 13, and the spacer 4 are removed in a sixth step.
