FIBER SUPPORTING CHARCOAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a product firmly supporting charcoal without deteriorating excellent functions such as gas adsorptivity possessed by the charcoal. SOLUTION: This fiber supporting charcoal is obtained by supporting a charcoal powder having 0.01-1.0μm average particle diameter on a rayon fiber and including 1-60 wt.% of the charcoal powder. The charcoal is firmly supported in the interior of the porous structure possessed by the rayon fiber and functions possessed by the charcoal are well exhibited without embedding the surface of the charcoal.
