PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin composition, especially that of an ultraviolet curing type, excellent in reactivity with cation polymerization initiators and capable of presenting a cured product excellent in flexibility. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition contains an ingredient (A) and an ingredient (B). The ingredient (A) is an epoxy resin obtained by hydrogenating an aromatic epoxy resin expressed by general formula (1) having 20-100% rate of hydrogenation of the aromatic rings and 0.2-20 average alcoholic hydroxy groups in a molecule. The ingredient (B) is a cationic polymerization initiator.
