PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device provided with a safety device with a simple structure for surely interrupting a fuse passage between a primary igniter and ignition powder. SOLUTION: This device has a switching system in which a shut-off valve is provided within the fuse passage from the primary igniter to ignition powder, moving of the shut-off valve is suppressed by a receiving seat for combustion gas pressure from the primary igniter in a safety mode and moving of the shut-off valve is allowed and stored into a recessed part and is communicated with the fuse passage in an operation mode.
