Multi processor system for storage disc

A processor system is used to allow a number of central processors to have access in a cross coupled male to a number of separate magnetic disc drive modules. Typically the system may have central processors (1-3) that have output channels coupled to a switching unit (5) to signal requests for access to the multiple disc drive units (10). Data can be transferred to and from selected disc drives and CPU's via disc controllers (6,7) coupled to a disc interface (8) that has a memory module for buffer storage of data.
