A terminal is connected to an information providing server so as to acquire information such as goods sale information, real estate information, or event information, and then object information unit is acquired from group information including a large amount of information by a single operation. Group information (11) that an information providing server (10) has includes information units (11A, 11B,...) to which six-digit numbers are allocated. An information code related with an information unit is printed on an advertisement medium such as a newspaper or a magazine. A user reads the advertisement medium, accesses the information providing server (10) from a portable telephone through the Internet (12), inputs the information code, accesses the information unit by a single operation, and acquires the information unit.
