PURPOSE: To provide a novel shutter opening/closing mechanism which is capable of easily judging the insertion and removal directions to and from a recording and/or reproducing device and is suitable for a cartridge body formed with a flank part on a front end side to an arbitrary shape. CONSTITUTION: This disk cartridge is provided with the shutter opening/closing mechanism 26 having a guide groove 36 which is disposed to incline with a transverse direction of the cartridge body 6 on the main surface of the cartridge body 6 and movably supports a shutter plate 25, a guide member 31 which supports the shutter plate 25 and is movably engaged with the guide groove 36, an opening/closing control member 32 for controlling the movement of the guide member 31, a transmission member 33 which connects the guide member 31 and the opening/closing control member 32 to transmit the control power of the opening/closing control member 32 to the guide member 31 and a supporting section 37 which is disposed at the cartridge body 6 and movably supports the opening/closing control member 32. The disk cartridges is provided with a shutter locking mechanism 38 regulating the movement of the shutter plate 25 by arranging on the side section in the width direction of the cartridge body 6.
