PURPOSE: A cutting load estimating method for high-speed machining is provided to exactly estimate cutting load to each point of a cutting blade by arithmetically operating a track through rotation and movement of the cutting blade of a ball end mill in a high-speed cutting process. CONSTITUTION: A cutting load estimating method for high-speed machining includes the steps of creating a Z-map of a workpiece including the z-axis height of the workpiece, finding the height of each point at a certain position of a cutting edge rotated and transferred to cut the workpiece, arithmetically operating the difference of height obtained through the above steps and estimating cutting force on the basis of the value obtained by operating the difference of the height.
