PURPOSE: A method for constructing an exterior insulating finishing system having a metal lath is provided to overcome defect of insulating materials weak to external impact by substituting metal lath for fiber mesh. CONSTITUTION: A method for constructing an exterior insulating finishing system having a metal lath includes the steps of adhering metal lath instead of shock absorbing mesh on weak parts of an outer wall body exposed to various external shock, such as a lower part of the outer wall body, coating cement mortar in which adhesive mortar and cement are mixed, and constructing a finishing material after the lapse of 24 hours from the coating step. Alternatively, the whole mesh is replaced by the metal lath.
