PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a depilating agent composition excellent in depilating performance, having little stimulation to the skin and excellent in preservation stability. SOLUTION: This depilating agent composition contains a mercapto compound, a water-soluble alkali agent, an alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of a carboxymethylcellulose having >=1.0 degree of etherification.
