PURPOSE: A driver mounting structure for a drum washing machine is provided to eliminate the necessity of preparing a space for installation of the driver for variable speed motor and arranging a balance weight to the tub, or reduce weight of balance weight. CONSTITUTION: A drum washing machine includes: a cylindrical tub(20) for the storage of washing water; a cylindrical drum(3) installed to be rotatable in the tub; and a driving shaft which penetrates through the rear center of the tub and is connected to the rear center of the drum. The driving shaft has a rear end coupled with a variable speed motor(500), and a driver(600) for driving the variable speed motor is mounted at the front portion of the outer periphery of the tub. The driver has many coupling brackets(610) arranged at lower ends of both side surfaces and front and rear surfaces of the driver, and each of coupling brackets has a hole(611) for the insertion of a coupling member. A coupling boss(201) is arranged on the outer surface of the tub for the insertion of the coupling member. |
