<p>An adapter (10;70) is provided for removably coupling a saw (12), including a tang portion (16) having an aperture (26) formed therein, to a tool. The adapter (10;70) includes a base member (28;72) and a clip (30;102) pivotally coupled to the base member (28;72). The base member has first and second ends (32,34;72;76), and first and second surfaces (36,38;78,80) extending between therebetween. An opening (37;79;104) is formed in the first and second surface (36,38) of the base member, proximate the first end (32). The opening (37;79;104) is adapted to receive the tang portion (14) of the saw, and a projection (48;89;106) is adpated to be received in the aperture to align the saw with the base member (28;72). The pivotally coupled clip (30;102) is movable between a closed position, in which the saw (12) is retained in and secured to the base member (14), and an open position, in which the saw (12) is removable from the base member (14). <IMAGE></p> |
