PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install a corrosion resistant lining in a duct. SOLUTION: Lining plate (11) each having a hole (14) are arranged on the inner surface of an existing duct (10) such that gaps C between adjacent ends or gaps C' between the corners of the duct and the adjacent ends of the lining plates becomes a predetermined value, temporarily fixed to the duct by appropriate means if necessary, welded thereto at the ends of the lining plates as shown by W1 or plug-welded thereto at the edge of the holes as shown by W2. Next, connection plates (12) and corner connection plates (13) are placed across adjacent lining plates to close the gaps C and C', temporarily fixed thereto if necessary, and welded to the lining plates as shown by W3, and cover members (15) are arranged to cover the holes, temporarily fixed thereto by appropriate means if necessary and welded to the lining plates as shown by W4.
