<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom on a layout in a steering lock device equipped with a housing which is fixed to a steering column, a cylinder body which is inserted into and fixed to the housing, a rotor which is inserted into the cylinder body, enabling execution of a rotating operation by a key inserted, and a lock pin which enables switchover of engagement with and disengagement from a steering shaft inserted into the steering column and is supported by the housing. SOLUTION: The lock pin 18 is fitted in the housing 12 so that it can slide in the direction intersecting the rotational axis of the rotor 15 obliquely. A cam face 32 coming into contact with the inner end part of the lock pin 18 so as to slide the lock pin 18 in accordance with the rotation of a joint 16 is formed on the joint 16 which is connected to the rotor 15 so that it cannot rotate relatively and supported rotatably by the housing 12 and rotates with the rotor 15.</p> |
