PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar heat driven refrigerating system in which power consumption can be reduced in a time band where sufficient solar heat can not be obtained. SOLUTION: In the solar heat driven refrigerating system, a heat pump 1 is coupled through a high temperature side changeover unit 2 with a heat collector 4 or an air/water cooled heat exchanger 6 and through a low temperature side changeover unit 3 with an air/water cooled heat exchanger 5 or a refrigerator 7 wherein the refrigerator 7 is provided with an auxiliary refrigerating machine 9. The air/water cooled heat exchangers 5, 6 are controlled through a control circuit 8 to be set with a strong wind operation mode when the switching time interval between a regeneration mode and a cold heat generation mode does not exceed a specified reference time otherwise set with a weak wind operation mode and the difference of power required for strong wind operation and power required for weak wind operation is thrown into the auxiliary refrigerating machine 9.
