PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a pilot type solenoid valve stabilizing the valve body with its suspended to a plunger in opening the valve. SOLUTION: This pilot type solenoid valve is so formed that the valve body is divided into two, a valve element guide and a valve element holder, and after the valve element guide is engaged with the bottom end of the plunger, the valve element holder is fixed to the valve element guide, and the valve body raised by being pulled by the plunger in opening the valve abuts on the bottom face of a chamber formed by the top end of the valve element guide in a connecting member, before the plunger is attracted by a stator, so as to restrict the raising of the plunger.
