PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fretting between a heat exchanging tube and a turbulent accelerating plate. SOLUTION: An EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) gas cooler 2 is provided with a body 8 for letting cooling water flow therein, end plates 10 for closing both ends of the body 8, respectively, and a heat exchanging tube 12 having substantially a shape of bellows which is disposed in the body 8 and whose both ends are connected to fixing holes of the end plates 10, respectively. The body 8, the end plates 10 and the tube 12 are brazed in advance as a cooler element 4. The tube 12 is provided therein with a substantially spirally formed turbulent accelerating plate 40. The plate 40 is provided with two supports 46 which are located very close to the inner peripheral surface of the tube 12, and the portions other than the supports 46 are apart from the inner peripheral surface of the tube 12 by a given distance.
