PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller which controls the position of a member to be driven by an actuator using a shape memory alloy. SOLUTION: The actuator is constituted of the shape memory alloy in which a shape storage is performed in a prescribed size and an energizing means which performs the loading of external force to the shape memory alloy to change the size, and the position of the member to be driven is controlled by using this. The position of the member to be driven is controlled in the first direction in which the shape memory alloy restores to the storage size, and the second direction in which the energizing means changes the size of the shape memory alloy. The controller is provided with an applied voltage calculating means and a voltage applying means. The applied voltage calculating means performs the calculation repeatedly on the basis of information relating to the target position and the current position of the member to be driven and calculates the voltage to be applied to the shape memory alloy. The voltage applying means includes a limiting circuit which applies the voltage obtained by calculation to the shape memory alloy on the basis of an arithmetic result by the applied voltage calculating means, only when the member to be driven should advance in the first direction. |
