PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a suction pipe 38 to a suction passage 28 of a cylinder 16 with a simple structure and with a good performance. SOLUTION: In a hermetically sealed rotary compressor 10 wherein an electric motor part and a rotary compression mechanism part 14 driven by the electric motor part are disposed and housed in a closed container 12, the cylindrical suction passage 28 composed of a large diameter hole 22 and a small diameter hole 24 wherein a ring shaped groove 30 is disposed on an inner circumferential surface is disposed on a cylinder 16 of the rotary compression mechanism part 14. An inserting hole 34 to which a steel-made sleeve 36 is connected is disposed on a side wall 32 of the closed container 12 opposed to the suction passage 28, a copper-made suction pipe 38 is inserted from the inserting hole 34, its one end part is insertingly locked with the large diameter hole 22 of the suction passage 28. A steel-made collar pipe body 42 wherein a tapered part 40 is formed on a tip end is pressed in from the other end part of the suction pipe 38, the suction pipe is expanded, and is pressingly attached to the large diameter hole 22. A part thereof is expanded to the ring shaped groove 30 as an expansion part 44. |
