PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint reducing the number of components, simplifying the structure, facilitating the constitution of a check valve, and manufactured at a low cost, and to provide a power steering apparatus using it. SOLUTION: A ball insertion hole 21e is formed in the inner depth of a connecting hole H and a ball 9 is inserted in ball insertion hole 21e loosely movable along a channel. A valve seat member 7 is inserted in the connecting hole H tightly stuck to the ball 9 with the ball moved in a metal pipe 4 direction. An opening 21h of the fluid passage 21g is set to a rectangular section and a communication part allowing the fluid to flow in a space toward the ball is constituted with the ball 9 brought in contact with the four corners of the opening 21h. |
