PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retard the thinning of an oil film for lubrication in a gap formed between a bearing bush and a rack shaft, to reduce the wear of the bearing bush, and to enhance the durability of the bearing bush, in a hydraulic power steering device. SOLUTION: A left end wall 7 of a power cylinder 6 to which a power piston of a hydraulic power steering device is slidably fit has the bearing bush 22 having a supporting surface 22f for slidably supporting the rack shaft 4 and a cylinder end 23 for obstructing the movement in the axis direction of the bearing bush 22. The gap 25 formed between the supporting surface 22f and the outer circumferential surface of the rack shaft 4, and into which hydraulic oil of a left hydraulic chamber 10 is penetrable communicates with the left hydraulic chamber 10 on one end surface 22d side and communicates with a second oil passage communicating with the left hydraulic chamber 10 formed between the outer circumferential surface of the bearing bush 22 and the inner circumferential surface of the power cylinder through a first oil passage 26 formed between the bearing bush 22 and a cylinder end 23, on the other end surface 22c side.
