PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote rooting and germination of the scions by partially dipping the soil in the lower part of the cutting bed into water, thereby causing no the death of the scion due to drying and increasing the water flow to the rootless scions through the evaporation of water from the leaves. SOLUTION: A water-feeding vessel is stacked to a wood-made pot for the cuttage and lower half of the soil is dipped in the water and then, the pot is filled with the soil suitable for the cutting is selected from Akatama soil, Kanuma soil, Barkilite and the like up to the H-2 level, and the length of the cutting is adjusted to 2/3 of the pot and the cutting is inserted into the soil so that the top of the cutting may become a little lower than the peripheral edge of the pot H-2 and the pot is stacked on the water-feeding vessel, water is poured from the top to the pot until the water overflows. Then, the pot is placed in the well-ventilated and bright place (the direct sunshine is shielded in 50, 0/0 with cheese cloth, nonwoven fabric or the like whereby the cuttage seedlings are obtained in high yield. This cuttage process can be widely applied to a variety of trees, laurel trees, deciduous trees, tropical trees and the like (fleshy plants are excluded).
