PURPOSE: A clearance preventing structure of a vehicle steering column shaft is provided to prevent a clearance from being generated between an inner shaft and an outer pipe by solidly fixing the inner shaft and the outer pipe, thereby minimizing the life shortening of the inner shaft and the outer pipe in case of performing telescopic function for a long time. CONSTITUTION: In a steering column of a vehicle formed with an inner shaft(1) and an outer pipe(2) coupled with each other by splines(1a,2a), a clearance preventing structure of a vehicle steering column shaft includes a sliding prevention part(2b) formed at the outer peripheral surface of the outer pipe for generating sliding friction, a sliding prevention part(3a) formed at the inner peripheral surface for frictionally contacting with the sliding prevention part of the outer peripheral surface, a bush(3) coupled with the outer side of the outer pipe having one end spline-coupled with the inner shaft, and an elastic member(4) interposed between the outer pipe and the bush for making the outer pipe and the bush pushing each other in a horizontal shaft direction.
