PURPOSE: A method for concentrating a herb medicine capable of concentrating the herb medicine to a candy shape within a short time by adding a liking flavor as well as removing a bitter taste and smell without lowering of medicinal action is provided, which improves taking and carrying medicine. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises the steps of: adding water to a mixture of 40 to 55% by weight of sugar and 40 to 55% by weight of starch syrup and concentrating at 130 to 150deg.C; adding 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of an acidulant and 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of a spice to the concentrate; adding a pretreated herb medicine composition to thereto; and forming. The pretreated herb medicine composition is obtained by boiling Nymphoides indica (L.) O. Kuntz and Platycodi radix, Trichosanthis semen, Glycyrrhizae radix, Lycii cortex radicis, Angelica koreana, Dryopteris crassirhizoma Nakai, Pinelliae rhizoma, Bombycis corpus, Armeniacae semen, Petasites japonicus Maxim, Eriobotryae folium, Morus alba L., Cicadae periostacum, Aster tataricus L. and Lycii Fructus, adding alcohol and filtering.
