PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable one person to fix an end part of a marking string easily and surely without support from others and to perform a marking work even if a material to be marked is too hard for a fixing pin to be stuck in. SOLUTION: In an ink pot 12 used for marking in such a manner that an end part 13a of a marking string 13 paid out from a pot 15 is fixed and that the tensed marking string 13 is flicked, the end part 13a of the marking string 13 is temporally fixed, and a mass body 17 having a weight not to be moved by a tension of the marking string 13 is provided, and the end part 13a of the marking string 13 is fixed so as not to move by the mass body 17.
