PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take in and out a compost by widely opening a space at the lower side of the circular arc part of an elliptical side rail by a large-scale shovel car in an excellent workability in an fermentation treatment apparatus for traveling a stirring apparatus on an endless traveling route composed of a center rail and the side rail. SOLUTION: The side rail is divided into a movable rail part 7 and stationary rail parts 8. The edge parts of the movable rail part 7 and the stationary rail parts 8 are mutually connected through horizontal shafts 72. One horizontal shaft has a balance weight 74 continuously urging the movable rail 7 toward an evacuation position. When the stirring apparatus 6 is transferred from the stationary rail part 8 to the movable rail part 7, a thrusting member 62 of the stirring apparatus 6 pushes down and shakes the movable rail part 7 at the evacuation position, wheels of the stirring apparatus 6 are transferred to the movable rail part 7 and push down and shake the movable rail part 7.
